About Us

Located in Redwood City, Mid Peninsula Music Academy strives to create a community of musical learning and sharing for all. Our teachers are professionals in their respective fields, and know better than anyone that while hard work and discipline can sharpen skills, only a true love of music can carry a person into the world of creativity and self-expression. That is the vision we try to fulfill here everyday at MPMA, and we invite you to join us! Whether you want to play music, sing music, or write music, we can provide you with a chance to let your inner talent shine.

Why MPMA?

Because we are dedicated to making your music class the highlight of your week. We want to change the narrative around what it’s like to take music lessons.Creativity is what makes us unique, and so our faculty is well-versed in many styles, disciplines, and genres of music. Don’t get us wrong – an education in classical music is extremely important. However, being classically trained should never exclude musicians from exploring (and mastering) all sorts of musical traditions. That is why our classes, both private and group, actively encourage students to learn the kind of music they want to play, alongside their assigned repertoire.
